Our practices comply with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the US CAN-SPAM Act.
🛡️ Zero Data Transmission Commitment: The antiDELETE phone application operates entirely offline. Your recovered WhatsApp chat contents are processed and stored locally on your device, and are never uploaded to any remote servers, cloud networks, or shared with third parties.
1. Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to:
- The antiDELETE Android Application (the sideloaded APK wrapping the local SQLite notification database).
- The antiDELETE Web Portal located at ebosoh.github.io/anti_delete/ and its administrative portals.
2. Data We Process (Principles of Data Minimization)
A. Inside the Mobile App:
- Notification Data: To capture deleted messages, the app requires permission to access your device's notifications. The background service selectively intercepts incoming notifications from WhatsApp (package:
com.whatsapp). - Local Database: Intercepted notifications (sender name, message contents, and timestamps) are written directly into a secure, local SQLite database on your handset. This data never leaves your device.
B. On the Web Portal:
- Anonymized Usage Statistics: We use Google Analytics (GA4) on our landing page to monitor web traffic. This collects non-identifiable parameters like browser types, approximate geographic locations, and page visits. It does not collect any of your private WhatsApp messages.
- Cookies: Standard tracking cookies are used to collect traffic metrics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting web portal functionality.
3. Compliance with Kenyan Law (Data Protection Act, 2019)
In accordance with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) guidelines in Kenya:
- Data Localization: All WhatsApp chats processed by the app are stored exclusively on your local hardware (handset). No cross-border transmission of chat data takes place.
- Consent: The app relies on your explicit action to toggle on the Android "Notification Access" permission. You may revoke this consent at any time through your phone's settings.
- User Rights: You hold the right to access, rectify, or erase your logs. Because the database is offline, you can exercise these rights instantly by deleting individual entries in the app UI, clearing app storage in Android Settings, or uninstalling the application.
4. Compliance with GDPR (Europe)
For users residing in the European Economic Area (EEA):
- Data Controller & Processor: TechBrain AI is the provider of the software. However, since all message storage is offline, you control your own data as the sole processor.
- Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You have complete, autonomous control to erase all captured data by clearing the app cache or database.

5. Compliance with CAN-SPAM & KICA Regulations

- You can request to opt-out of future support correspondence at any time, and we will honor your request within 24 hours.
6. Data Security
Your offline database is secured by Android's application sandboxing, preventing other standard applications on your device from accessing the stored messages. We recommend securing your phone with a PIN, pattern, or biometric lock to prevent physical access to your logs.
